When the war in Iraq started, or at any rate when it escalated into a
full-blown invasion, I gave notice at work. My intention is to reduce my
income below the threshold of taxation so as to stop paying income tax
to the U.S. government.

I'm writing this to explain myself to my friends, who will notice a bit of
a change of lifestyle in me in the coming months. Also, I write because
writing calms my nerves, and I'm a bit nervous about this. I'm starting on
an experiment, and I'm not sure where it will take me.

War Protest Albuquerque 3/20/03

3/20/03

This evening the Albuquerque police did the Albuquerque citizens the favor of allowing them to feel what it was like to be at a big protest in a big city. Fully decked out for urban combat they looked fine. Presence of K9 units, officers with 3 foot clubs, semiautomatic rifles and tear gas launchers present from the beginning along with all the cars trying to block us off and the cavalry.

New York, NY (AP): National Infrastructure Protection Center, a division of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, today announced the apprehension and arrest of Reid Lauring, known
on the Internet under the hacker alias: digitron.

Sources say the FBI have made this
arrest in connection with a recent computer intrusion of Harvard University's Bio-Chemical
Department computers, in which sensitive biological and chemical data was stolen and is
believed to have been sold to a unknown third party.

FBI sources also say they are currently pursuing the investigation and arrest of another
hacker, Akael Sahir Rhamaan, who also goes by the hacker alias: Osek. They say he is not
connected with any terrorist organizations, however they believe he is the ringleader in
these attacks.
In an interview with George Marshoff, a Public Relations Representative of Harvard
University, he said the data is highly sensitive and could be used to create chemical and
biological weapons if fallen into the wrong hands.

A man protesting the looming U.S. war on Iraq fell to his death from San Francisco's famed Golden Gate Bridge on Wednesday as he was hanging a banner, officials said.

"He appears to have been hanging a banner of some kind," said California Highway Patrol officer Timothy Willock. "We're not sure if he decided to jump or slipped while he was, you know, hanging the banner. That's unclear right now."

Uncle Fluffy writes: "This came to me anonymously by email, I have not confirmed the claim made."

It has been announced by the US government that a unilateral invasion of Iraq will begin on Wednesday at 8pm. This is 48 hours from the time that the ultimatum was communicated to the public through the corporate media.

In response to this, the Armed Forces Recruiting Center on Old Post Road in Edison, NJ was the target of direct action.

Reclusive author and critic whose political and philosophical writing informed the work of Derrida, Foucault and Barthes

Maurice Blanchot was probably the least-read yet most influential French writer of the postwar era. Reclusive to a degree, shunning all public appearances, refusing even to be photographed (though once snapped unawares), he nevertheless played a decisive part in the transformation of the literary and philosophical landscape of France in the second half of the 20th century. He had no disciples, his readers were invited to act as if he did not exist, yet no writer can have devoted himself more selflessly to the simple intimacy of friendship, from which much of his influence stemmed.

Louis Lingg writes "The Sacramento Bee is reporting that military police at Vandenberg Air Force Base have been authorized to use deadly force against anti-war protestors attempting to infiltrate the base.

"'Military police will use their
"judgment, experience and training' to
determine if lethal force is necessary,
she [Maj. Stacee Bako] said.

"Deadly force can be used when
lesser means of force aren't feasible or have failed, and to protect (Department of Defense) assets designated as
vital to the national security," she explained.

The deadly force policy will not deter protesters, said Peter Lumsdaine of the Vandenberg Action Coalition, one
of the organizers of the planned trespassing.""
