Free Jeff Luers writes "http://www.freefreenow.org/heartcheck.html

Heartcheck is a 40 page zine with new, unpublished writings and artwork by political prisoners Jeff 'Free' Luers and Robert 'Los Ricos' Thaxton.

From the introduction:
"With millions of people dying, the environment being poisoned and destroyed by consumerism, there really are only three kinds of people: the victims, the problem, and the solution.

This zine is dedicated to the latter. The time for rhetoric is over. The time for action has arrived. We hope that the writings contained within will begin a much-needed discussion on real solutions and alternatives sorely lacking in radical circles. We hope these words will only be the beginning of something much larger."

*All* proceeds from the sale of this zine will benefit both political prisoners. Show solidarity for these political prisoners and get a copy [or 10!] today

South East Asian Anarchist Contingent (Gathering in Malaysia)

We'll be having an Inter-Border event next month in September (late Sept. to be exact till October onwards..) We're inviting Asian countries to participate on this event, we specifically wanna get more wimmin involved too and of course the

Attached on this email is the explanation bout the event and the invitation letter. Some parts of the letter you will notice has specifically pointed out south east asian countries b'coz they're the first ones to discuss and contact each other for this event.

We look forward to our friends participation on this gathering, since the highlight of this event is to come up with concrete actions

Childish Acts of Rebellion Foundation

Ladies, Gentlemen, and children alike….

We find ourselves awakening at the dawn of globalisation imperialism…. An age where the “clinically obese” people of the world are spoilt with a variety of “New Improved flavours” and “100% Beef”… A reality in which the fashionable dominate the headlines and a world that is rife with the smell of death on our local high streets.
The sad truths of the world today sound to most like a fiction… tales of corporate rule, and the rich man deceiving the working classes, and many a time have I been told that my ideas, though smart, and vivid, are purely fictitious… constantly I am told that it is impossible to live our lives in a different way, “we NEED them, who else would is going to supply me with an easy way to get the food and clothing I need? And where am I going to find top quality snacks for good prices?” are the questions I am constantly faced with.

People may have noticed thjat we are under a spam attack, this article was posted by a registered user, sylvia, but I inadverntentl;y deledeted it, apologies]

I am sylvia from greece and currently sponsored by the programme YOUTH to independently work on researching cultural houses in Europe. I have been reading a lot through the internet and am mainly interested in free spaces, like the Rote Fabrik in Zuerich, Switzerland, which poped up after radical youth movements. I have been reading a lot about Italy and Holland, the Squatters and so on and it is all so fascinating, but it is difficult to find out whether there were cultural places that survived and are still functioning, like in Switzerland, since I am in the other end of the world and all this took place when I wasn't even born! But I have the chance now to know more about it and share the information with so many other people.. Can anyone help me? Information about such free independet cultural houses, or links to people that could give me more specific information? the page http://av-produktionen.ch/80/home.html is very helpful, but unfortunately only referring to Switzerland. And anything else I have managed to find has more to do with the history and less with the results. I would so much appreciate any help. Just point out a couple of places you like and hang out in. Thanx a bunch!!! sylvia"
