When the war in Iraq started, or at any rate when it escalated into a
full-blown invasion, I gave notice at work. My intention is to reduce my
income below the threshold of taxation so as to stop paying income tax
to the U.S. government.

I'm writing this to explain myself to my friends, who will notice a bit of
a change of lifestyle in me in the coming months. Also, I write because
writing calms my nerves, and I'm a bit nervous about this. I'm starting on
an experiment, and I'm not sure where it will take me.

Anonymous Comrade writes "An ad-hoc coaltion of anti-war groups is planning a massive non-violent civil disobedience at 8 am on Thursday, March 27.

The group agreed to target the media/government collusion that is
promoting this war to further corporate interests. The Rockefeller
Center area was chosen as the target since many media and corporations
have offices there or nearby.

War Protest Albuquerque 3/20/03

3/20/03

This evening the Albuquerque police did the Albuquerque citizens the favor of allowing them to feel what it was like to be at a big protest in a big city. Fully decked out for urban combat they looked fine. Presence of K9 units, officers with 3 foot clubs, semiautomatic rifles and tear gas launchers present from the beginning along with all the cars trying to block us off and the cavalry.

We, a loose collective of NYC anarchists, call on all those outraged

with the US War Machine to join us in a breakaway march during the

Sat., March 22nd anti-war demonstration.

Why a Breakaway March?

While we will respect the parameters of the permitted march and the

wishes of those participating in it, we also feel the need to make a

space for more creative action. We will express ourselves without the

permission of the cops, Bloomberg, or the state. We will choose when,

where, and how we show our outrage against this war. Join us!

Gather on Broadway between 40th and 41st streets and stay in the

middle of the march. Look for black flags! Listen for air horns!

See you there!

At two separate occasions Geneva (Switzerland) and the area of the
Lake Leman will host global summits that reflect the pending dramatic
changes in the world in very challenging ways: Early June 2003 the
yearly G-8 meeting will take place in Evian, a few kilometers across
the border to France. The second event from December 10-12 2003 is the
UN World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) that will be held in
the Palexpo conference center of Geneva.

Uncle Fluffy writes :
A man protesting the looming U.S. war on Iraq fell to his death from San Francisco's famed Golden Gate Bridge on Wednesday as he was hanging a banner, officials said.

"He appears to have been hanging a banner of some kind," said California Highway Patrol officer Timothy Willock. "We're not sure if he decided to jump or slipped while he was, you know, hanging the banner. That's unclear right now."

Uncle Fluffy writes: "This came to me anonymously by email, I have not confirmed the claim made."

It has been announced by the US government that a unilateral invasion of Iraq will begin on Wednesday at 8pm. This is 48 hours from the time that the ultimatum was communicated to the public through the corporate media.

In response to this, the Armed Forces Recruiting Center on Old Post Road in Edison, NJ was the target of direct action.

Anonymous Comrade writes: Here we are on the March 17th deadline and Bush & Company get more & more determined to inflict terror on the Iraqi people. He is addressing the nation on TV tonight. Chances are Bush will announce that war is imminent. We need to be ready for this move on their part and consider what our response will be.

To that end, we are calling a black bloc for the
convergence at Times Square on Invasion Day.

Louis Lingg writes "The Sacramento Bee is reporting that military police at Vandenberg Air Force Base have been authorized to use deadly force against anti-war protestors attempting to infiltrate the base.

"'Military police will use their
"judgment, experience and training' to
determine if lethal force is necessary,
she [Maj. Stacee Bako] said.

"Deadly force can be used when
lesser means of force aren't feasible or have failed, and to protect (Department of Defense) assets designated as
vital to the national security," she explained.

The deadly force policy will not deter protesters, said Peter Lumsdaine of the Vandenberg Action Coalition, one
of the organizers of the planned trespassing.""
