Subject: March 15 Giant World-Wide Anti-War Rally: Pass It On!

Shockingly, I find that somehow everyone has not yet heard about the March 15 world-wide rally -- and it is vital at this crucial moment to have as much participation as possible. You CAN effect change! Please pass this on fast and wide.

"Globally, March 15 promises to be the largest day of coordinated protest ever."

Action Ends on March 17th, 2003

Dow Chemical is going to court this week in India. Not as the defendants

for their ongoing responsibility for the Bhopal disaster, but as the

plaintiffs: Dow is suing the SURVIVORS of the disaster for protesting at a

Dow plant, and--we're not making this up--they're demanding US$10,000 from

them... about 10 years of wages at local rates.

The next anti-Capitalist social night is on Tuesday 18th March at its new regular venue:

7.30pm at The Foundry, 82-84 Great Eastern Street, London EC2

(on the corner of Old St & Gt Eastern St - nearest tube: Old Street)

From now on, whatever else is happening, you know that we will be organising an anti-Capitalist social at the Foundry on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

As well as being a social event -- with all anti-Capitalists welcome (whatever flavour) -- the social nights have proved to be a useful place to meet new people and have hosted some excellent political and practical discussions. As usual, there is no line being pushed, no hassle, no lectures. Now we have a regular venue with lots of room, we're also thinking about expanding the social nights to include film showings and the occasional eclectic speaker - if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

March 15, 2003, marks the seventh year of this

international day of protest and solidarity against

police brutality. It first began in 1997 as an

initiative of the Black Flag collective in Switzerland

along with the help of 'le Collective Opposé à la

Brutalité Policière' (COBP-Montreal). Since its first

year, the International Day Against Police Brutality

(IDAPB) has been a success. This date was chosen

because on March 15th, two children, aged 11 and 12,

were beaten by the Swiss police.

"E-Poetry 2003
An International Digital Poetry Festival

West Virginia University, Morgantown

April 23-26, 2003

It is our pleasure to announce E-Poetry 2003: An International Digital Poetry Festival, the second event in the acclaimed E-Poetry series inaugurated in Buffalo in April 2001. E-Poetry is a series, directed by Loss Pequeño Glazier from the University at Buffalo, which provides an artist and practitioner-oriented series of events in the spirit of some of the early poetry festivals, such as the Vancouver Poetry Festival, 1963, and the Berkeley Poetry Conference, 1965. The series allows artists the opportunity to engage the state of their art and to advance its possibilities through dialog, performance, and peer interaction.

Species Traitor #3 Available

Green Anarchist Gathering Planned for Central Pennsylvania, July 10-13, 2003

The primary section in this issue is on symbolic culture. We feel very strongly about the subject and feel that it remains a kind of academic or fringe obscurity while it is central to understanding the existence of civilization. It seems that any act of liberation will require a turn on this totalistic world view that we’ve been domesticated to.
