MobileIPR Workshop welcomes papers on all aspects of rights management
related to information products such as music, electronic books, videos,
multimedia, games, or software distributed on the Mobile Internet
commercially or otherwise.The relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
· Digital rights management (DRM) and technical tools to protect and
manage rights, e.g. cryptographic systems, watermarking, rights
expression languages, and rights management databases.
· Intellectual property rights (IPR) copyright, database right, patent,
and trademark.
· Privacy in relation to rights management, including protection of
confidential information.
· Contracts, especially open source licensing models in software and
content production.
· Societal and policy issues, including the effect of non-governmental
organizations and citizens activism.
· Control of information products - economic and ethical rationales to.
· Business models related to rights management.
· User-contributed content and rights management.
· Rights management in peer-to-peer, superdistribution, and other new
distribution models.
· Related enabling technologies and their impact on digital rights
management.
We welcome both full and short (experience) papers as well as extended
abstracts that address different aspects of rights management.

WORKSHOP
The workshop will be organized on August 27-28 in Helsinki, Finland.
Professor Hal Varian (the School of Information Management & Systems,
SIMS, University of California, Berkeley) has kindly promised to give a
keynote speech.
We are also expecting a number of other excellent presentations.
The evening program on August 27 will provide the participants with the
networking and socializing possibilities.
