"The day of opening ceremonies of the 34th Congress of
the International Chamber of Commerce in Denver,
Colorado, is quickly approaching.

For those who do not know, the ICC World Congresses
are regularly attended by the world's leading business
and political leaders. Some of the companies involved
in the ICC include Monsanto, McDonalds, Du Pont,
Exxon, AOL-Time-Warner, and thousands more. The
topics of the three-day discussion will be about
furthering global capitalism. For more on the ICC

The Colorado Anti-Capitalist Convergence has made a
call to protest the ICC and it's activities. Planned
events are as follows:

- May 3rd the Colorado ACC will be meeting from
12:00pm - 2:00pm outside of the West side Norlin
Library in the Quad on the CU-Boulder campus to make
puppets, posters, banners, signs, flyers, etc. for the
anti-ICC march and rally. There are plans for music
and food, so bring all of the art supplies you can get
(or steal) and come and have some fun!

- May 5th will be a day of teach-ins and workshops in
preparation for the actions against the ICC. This
will be an all-day event from 12:00pm to 9:00pm at the
Breakdown Book Collective at 1630 Platte St. in
Denver. Events include speakers, such as Glen Morris
of AIM, movies, discussions and much more. For more

- May 6th will be the opening ceremonies of the ICC
meeting and the opening day of protest. A march is
scheduled to begin at 4:00pm on 17th and Welton (near
the 16th Street Mall) in Denver and will proceed to
the Marriott hotel where the meeting is taking place.
As an added bonus, it is rumored that G.W. Bush will
be there for the opening ceremonies, so keep that in
mind.

Events for the final 2 days of protest are TBA or will
be played by ear.
