NYC Anarchist Forum, "What Is This War Really About?"
Libertarian Book Club's Anarchist
Forum, January 2002
What Is This War Really About?
co-sponsored by Counter Information Alliance (C.I.A.)
On Tuesday, January 8, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club's Anarchist
Forum welcomes Bill Weinberg, Silvia Federici, Eric Laursen and Jay
Underhill as a panel, discussing "What Is This War Really About?", that
will provide alternative and anarchist views of what is really
motivating and guiding the Bush administration in it's supposed war on
terrorism. Is this war really more about building the power of
capitalism and the state, than bringing scoundrels to justice?
Bill Weinberg is publisher of the political and online journal WORLD
WAR III REPORT and host of "The Moorish Orthodox Radio Crusade" on
WBAI.
Silvia Federici is a feminist writer and a member of the Committee for
Academic Freedom in Africa (CAFA).
Eric Laursen is a political/financial
author and member of NYC DAN.
Jay Underhill is host and producer of the
public access TV show "Anarchist Propaganda and Variety Hour".
After the panel presentation an open period of questions and discussion will
follow.
The event will take place at the Brecht Forum on the 10th floor of 122
West 27th St. [between 6th and 7th Aves.], a short walk from the 28th
St. 1, 2, N, and R stops, the 34th St. B, D, Q and W stop, and the 23rd
St. F and V stop. There is no set fee for the presentation, but a
contribution to aid the LBC is requested.
