The first Providence Anarchist Bookfair is being held on Saturday, July 16th
in conjunction with AS220’s 20th anniversary celebrations on Empire
Street in Downtown, Providence Rhode Island. The Providence Anarchist
Bookfair is being organized as an opportunity to exchange anarchist and
anti-authoritarian ideas. The Bookfair is for
anarchists and non-anarchists alike. It is free to attend and open to
the public.

Providence Anarchist Bookfair events include book and information
tables, workshops, an anarchist roundtable, walking tours and much more.Booking A Table

Tables are $25 (with sliding scale for people willing to share
space). Included in your fee will be a 6x2 table, a chair, and a spot
under one of the street tents. Space is limited so please sign up now if
you’d like to sponsor a table. To book a table, contact Sue at
sue@circleacycles.com. Priority within the bookfair itself will be on
the written word (books, pamphlets, zines, audio-visual materials) by
groups including publishers, distributors, and action-oriented groups as
well as individuals. We will also accept, on a case-by-case basis
information, participation from community/activist groups, small
publishers, and vendors of materials such as buttons, T-shirts or
patches who fit within these principles.

Vendors should arrive between 11am–12pm on Saturday morning to set up
their space. The bookfair is scheduled to start at 1pm.

Postering and Publicity

The bookfair will be promoted on its own and with AS220’s 20 Fest
publicity. Updates to the bookfair event will be posted on our
webpage hosted by AS220.org.


The Providence Anarchist Bookfair affirms and promotes values of mutual
aid, direct democracy, anti-authoritarianism, autonomy and solidarity.
We reiterate our opposition to capitalism, imperialism, patriarchy,
heterosexism, racism, colonialism, statism and all other forms of
oppression; we will not accept anyone to participate in the Anarchist
Bookfair that perpetuates or promotes these attitudes.
