Post-Holiday Re-Gifting Freemeet!

New York City, Saturday, January 29, 2005

10am–6pm

Sixth Street Community Center

*FREE*

Bring your unwanted, but useful stuff to give away,
or come by to see what's being offered! Nothing is for
sale — everything goes on a first-come first-served
basis.

What can be Freecycled at the January 29th Freemeet?

Just about any working, reusable item can be dropped
off (and taken home!) at the Freemeet, such as:

-gently used clothing

-working appliances and electronics

-books and magazines

-sports equipment

-games and toys

-kitchen items

-office supplies

-toiletry items

-arts and crafts materials

-food and cosmetic items, if sealed/unused

- plants

-music (nothing pirated)

-household items (candles, linens, etc)

Please keep items free, legal, and appropriate for all
ages (i.e. no pirated software, no weapons, no
pornography, no hazardous
materials). Due to space constraints, we cannot
accept large pieces of furniture. Please limit items
to those which can be easily carried away by hand, in
a tote bag, or with a grocery cart. Tags will be
provided for any information you wish to make note of
about the item, or if you just want to leave your
email address so you can be thanked for your gift.

Certain non-working items can be dropped of for
recycling as well:

-Cell phones and accessories (working phones too)

-Spent inkjet cartridges

-Spent batteries

All materials left at the end of the day will be
donated to charity to the extent possible.

Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteers are needed to help the event function
smoothly. Join the planning group to see what's new
and needed, or contact us at info@RecycleThisNYC.org

help needed include:

-flyering

-helping to keep things organized at the event

to draw passersby inside!
