Magical techniques for working our intention and staying safe in the streets. Workshop will cover grounding, wide awareness, anchoring, shielding, de-escalation, staying connected to the group, street spells, raising and focusing energy and spiral dancing in the streets.

I-Witness Mini Video Witness Training, 10:30am

Video witnesses use a video camera to collect evidence of arrests and police abuse. Video images of police actions at protests can be crucial evidence at trials of people arrested and in civil lawsuits against police misconduct. Bring a camera if you have one, but come even if you don¡¦t, as each camera person will need a ¡§buddy¡¨ùäwho can ¡§watch their back¡¨ and be a second pair of eyes.

Anti-Racism for a Mass Mobilization, 1-4pm

This workshop will focus on how racism functions in US institutions and how white privilege operates within mass mobilization activism. Using group activities and discussion, we¡¦ll explore concrete ways anti-racism can help strengthen our efforts to protest the upcoming RNC and inform and shape our activism for long-term movement building. While this workshop is designed for white activists and organizers, all are welcome to participate.

Working both solo and with a partner, this workshop will consist of guided excercises based in release technique, Alexander, Shiatsu, and Yoga to release the muscles and deepen the benefits of rest.
