Up to Twelve Long Island Activists Reported Under FBI Arrest

A Dozen Long Island Activists Reported Under FBI Arrest

This morning up to ten Long Island-based animal liberation activists were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to local activist sources, who report further below:

"Andrew Stepanian was
one of these activists and was arrested at his home at approximately 6:15
AM on May 26.  We are not sure who the other activists were, but we know
Kevin Jonas and Josh Harper were amongst the other activists the agents
mentioned to Andy's mother when they arrested Andy.  The agents refused to
produce a copy of this warrant at the time of arrest.  If you have any
information as to the location of these activists (we think they'e in Newark, but
they're being denied telephone calls), please respond to this email address:
Rock_Rat9@hotmail.com.

Monday evening two activists were arrested on Long Island in the vicinity
of a Forest Labs Demo at Cold Spring Laboratory. The two activists are Jon and Vanessa and they are being held at the Nassau County Second Precinct.  At this time, we do not know what the charges are but we are relatively certain that at least one of them
will be released with a desk appearance ticket. The other activist doesnt
have ID with her and may be held over night.  More details will be
posted as they become available.  For now we are asking for calls to
the precinct inquiring about the whereabouts and safety of the two
activists. It is obvious that HLS and Forest Labs are getting fed up with disruptions and protests, and their way of responding is to repress activists in hopes of getting us to stop. Forest is scared: First they built a fence, when they realized we wouldn't go away, and planned another protest (this Friday), they arrested a dozen activists to try to prevent and deter us.

THE SOLUTION: Prove to them that arrests will not deter us, but just anger us even more, and we are going to bite Forest harder than ever before! This is the time for sacrafice — we must prove a point to the opposition. Everyone, in addition to showing jail support, turn up the heat on Forest!

What You Can Do:

1. Protest at Forest Labs and their director's homes on Long Island this Friday May 28th. Spread the word as much as possible!!! More info at www.animaldefense.info

2. Surprise visits. Visit them on your own free time! Show forest that arresting "organizers" of protests won't work if most of the protests aren't even organized!

3. Mail: Send some letters, magazines, or surprises to office and home addresses

4. Phone calls. Make it clear, using your free speech rights, that all forest has to do is cut it's ties to HLS. If you've never called these bastards before, now is the time. If you've already made it a habit to ring in these puppy killers every now and then, than please double or tripple your time spent on the phone - at least until all the arrested activists are found and/or released. For your privacy (so YOU don't get kidnapped) it is suggested to use public payphones or other anonymous sources of calling. Short on change? No money for a phonecard? Use internet calling programs or call them collect -

Here is all the Forest info you need to know. Write it down or print it out, and keep it handy. Now pretend your Bush and start clearcutting!!!

6. Do something creative! Just make sure you smash HLS!

In 2003, HLS had only 25 clients that brought in $1,000,000 in revenue. 10 companies provided 45% of HLS's income. Bite forest as hard as you would if you were the dog being injected with Celexa. Don't let go until they let our activist friends go AND until they dump HLS.
