Anti-racist and Anti-fascists are organizing for a counter-protest and activities of their own this day. Meet at noon at the north end of the Fayetteville Street Mall to participate. The anti-racist/pro-human rights rally will be in the Fayetteville Street Mall (a large pedestrian mall), just south of Morgan St. and south of the Capitol, which is where the Nazi rally will be. Statement of support for FLOC, ARA/AFA

STATEMENT OF SUPPORT

  Anti-Fascist Action AFA

  Anti-Racist Action ARA

As anti-fascist action Greensboro and anti-racist action Greenville/Raleigh, we would like to extend our support for FLOC and the Immigrant Rights rally in Goldsboro, NC on February 21st. We do so based on principles that include rights and liberties for all regardless of race, creed or class both in the workplace and elsewhere. We collectively believe that documentation does not dictate the worth of a person nor their ability and desire to work.

We are anti-capitalist groups and therefore we fully support any struggle against capitalist and class repression. In such times of global free market re-organization where workers are pitted against fellow workers often relating to race and national identity AFA and ARA are collectively prepared to support and participate in the total dissipation of such situations and ideas. We comprehend the realities of new Berlin Walls being erected protecting the capitalist fortress Europe and United Estates, beguiling the working class into partaking in nationalist tendencies that only serve to further segregate and weaken the proletariat struggle against the real enemy: the owning class. There is an inherent hypocrisy in the relationship between the free movement of corporations versus the restrictions on human beings as well as their relegation and commodification. So long as government holds the power to classify people as immigrants and illegal aliens, cementing the idea that there is a third class of citizens similar to times of segregation, then there can be no peace or equality. Regardless of immigration status, we are all slaves for a wage that perpetuates capital gain for the owning class; therefore the immigrant struggle is our struggle.

Those of us who will not be attending the Immigration Rights rally will be participating in a counter-demonstration opposing a reemerging fascist social movement involving similar ideals to the governmental regulations the Goldsboro demo is opposing, (and who are connected to groups that have harassed the FLOC sponsored freedom rides.)

No nations, no borders, by any means necessary.

  Sincerely,

  AFA Greensboro and ARA Greenville
