dear friends and comrades,

in the last days, eco-anarchist prisoner marco camenisch was once again the target of an international police operation. on 17.09. and 24.09.03 italian state launched in cooperation with swiss federal police forces an immense attack against marco and the vast social and political solidarity he gets from his friends and supporters. while swiss police searched his cell in prison of pfäffikon/ZH (switzerland), in italiy special forces of the carabinieri raided about 40 houses and offices of suspected militants.

the raids are related to direct actions which occurred in italy earlier this year in the context of a campaign against solitary confinement, when marco was on hunger strike and struggled for better conditions. also, this attack is part of the european-wide repressive state campaign against the revolutionary left - like the raids in italy/france/switzerland on 26.07.03 or the arrests of anarchist comrades in spain on 16.09.03.

so - let's resist ! we call for an INTERNATIONAL ACTION DAY AGAINST REPRESSION AND IN SUPPORT OF MARCO CAMENISCH ON SUNDAY 02.11.03. please inform your local prison activist group, so they can join the international action day with their own actions.
