Mainspace wheelchair accessibleNow in it's fourth year, the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair is the largest
anarchist bookfair in northeastern North America, and an important
exchange of anarchist and anti-authoritarian ideas for anarchist and
non-anarchists alike, in both English and French.

This year's bookfair will feature more than 50 booksellers and groups from
all over North America, as well as the Federation Anarchiste from France.

There will also be workshops on the following subjects during the bookfair
on Saturday:

The Anarchist Tradition (Cindy Milstein) * The Anarchist 80s
(Alan O'Connor) * Resisting Gentrifying Forces: Past and Present Anarchist
Struggles for the Right to Decent Housing, A Tour of the Neighborhood
(organized by the CLAC Housing Committee) * Sur les traces de l'anarchisme
au Québec (Mathieu Houle-Courcelles) * Introduction à l'anarchisme et à la
Fédération Anarchiste (Fédération Anarchiste-France) * Introduction à
l'anarcho-communisme (Bête Noire, NEFAC-Montreal * Anarquismo en Mexico
(various exiles from Mexico)

Proceeds from this year's anarchist bookfair will be divided between the
Montreal Political Prisoner Calendar Collective, the North American
Anarchist People of Colour Conference (Detroit, October 2003), Les Pages
Noires (Anarchist Infoshop in Quebec City) and La Biblioteca Social
Reconstruir (Anarchist Library in Mexico City).

The bookfair is open to anarchists and non-anarchists alike. Bring your
family and friends!

The Anarchist Bookfair will be followed on SUNDAY by: "Demand the
Impossible": A Day of Anarchist Workshops (Sunday, May 18, 2003,
11am-6pm). Fifteen workshops, panels and presentations on a variety of
anarchist-themed subjects. Location: 1710, rue Beaudry, metro Beaudry.
