Illegal Art
November 23, 2002 - 6:39pm -- hydrarchist
I've been quite partial to the magazine "Stay Free" for some time. The current issue intensifies my enamourment however, dedicated as it is to the subject of copyright. Contents include interviews with Siva Vaidhyanathan, Chuck D & Hank Shocklee and Rick Prelinger, an article on the chilling effect of copyright on hiphop.
What's more, they've also organised an exhibition of illegal art in conjunction with the new issue, which is showing in New York until December 6th - in CBGB's Gallery -and in Chicago thereafter. Natalie Jeremijenko and Mark Hosler spoke at a discussion timed to coincide with the launch
